People in North Wales are taking action for nature and the climate, resulting in better decision-making for the environment

North Wales Wildlife Trust runs many exciting projects across North Wales for people and wildlife.

The North Wales Wildlife Trust is continuing its on-going management of invasive non-native plant species within the Upper and Middle Dee catchment. This time we’re addressing the impact of the footpath network as a pathway of spread. By focusing on improving people’s experience of natural heritage through signs, audio guided walks, talks and INNS management; we aim to increase awareness of the heritage found within the SAC, have a positive impact on how people value it, and empower them to protect and enhance it.

The Môn Gwyrdd youth forum, which began in 2016, is a group of young people aged between 11 and 24 who are passionate about learning about the environment and helping bring communities on Anglesey together to protect it.

We work with partners at the landscape scale along the Alyn and Wheeler river valleys restoring, recreating and reconnecting wildlife habitats and engaging with local people and communities.
