Helpful Advice when Visiting our Nature Reserves
North Wales Wildlife Trust's 35 nature reserves are all unique in their own right. They support both common and rare plants and animals that may not exist anywhere else in North Wales. Irresponsible uses of our nature reserves include dog walking off-lead, cyclists, joggers and walkers deviating from footpaths lead to huge negative impacts on these sensitive sites.

It's grey seal pupping season
Right now grey seals / morloi llwyd (Halichoerus grypus) will be returning to haul out at sites all along our North Wales coasts for the pupping season.
Our work in the wider landscape
Nature reserves alone are not enough to support precious wildlife across North Wales. To enable wildlife to thrive we need to create more space that is better managed and well connected, with opportunities for people to connect with nature. As well as delivering projects in the wider landscape we also undertake development control activities to help ensure that building developments do not significantly threaten biodiversity. We also advocate for government policies that support nature recovery, and undertake proactive species-focused work – locally and nationally.
