Nature reserves alone are not enough to support precious wildlife across North Wales. To enable wildlife to thrive we need to create more space that is better managed and well connected, with opportunities for people to connect with nature. As well as delivering projects in the wider landscape we also undertake development control activities to help ensure that building developments do not significantly threaten biodiversity. We also advocate for government policies that support nature recovery, and undertake proactive species-focused work – locally and nationally.

Stand for Nature Wales is a national youth climate change project with a big ambition!

The five Wildlife Trusts in Wales have come together to mobilise young people to tackle the climate and ecological crises head-on. For the next three years, we will be working to empower and inspire young people to take action for nature and wildlife in their local area and unite their communities in an effort to reduce their collective environmental impact. From urban Cardiff to rural Anglesey, young people are standing up for nature and securing a greener future.

Our vision is to make the landscape within and around the Wrexham Industrial Estate more habitable to wildlife, more accessible for people, and more attractive to businesses whilst also improving the health and wellbeing of employees and nearby communities.

If you are a school or youth group we would love to hear from you. We do school visits, wildlife gardens, teacher training, provide advice and guidance or welcome you to one of our 36 nature reserves.
