Over half of all Members of Parliament (MPs) who were elected in the 2024 General Election were new to the role. This means there are a lot of new decision-makers who haven't yet got much experience of the climate and nature issues that you care about. That means now is the perfect time to meet your representatives in person to start that relationship.

Once a thriving hub of lead mining, this remarkable area is now home to rich grasslands, rare orchids, and a variety of birds and insects that thrive in its open spaces.

Once a Neolithic settlement and shaped by 19th-century quarrying, this headland is now home to vibrant limestone grasslands, delicate orchids, and fluttering butterflies during the spring and summer months.

The new Sustainable Farming Scheme is a once in a lifetime opportunity to put farming in Wales on a sound sustainable footing and address the climate and nature crisis. We need to show the Welsh Government that there is overwhelming public support for nature-friendly farming. Peatlands are one of our most important habitats, providing homes for rare wildlife and locking up carbon, helping us tackle climate change. But in the UK over 80% are damaged. Partly due to our use of peat as a compost and using it to grow products such as house plants and mushrooms. North Wales Wildlife Trust, together with the Wildlife Trusts across the UK, is campaigning to keep peat in bogs and not bags.

The North Wales Wildlife Trust is continuing its on-going management of invasive non-native plant species within the Upper and Middle Dee catchment. This time we’re addressing the impact of the footpath network as a pathway of spread. By focusing on improving people’s experience of natural heritage through signs, audio guided walks, talks and INNS management; we aim to increase awareness of the heritage found within the SAC, have a positive impact on how people value it, and empower them to protect and enhance it.
