Invasive non-native species – also known simply as invasive species or INNS - have been introduced by humans, intentionally or unintentionally, beyond their natural range. Acknowledged as one of the top five drivers of biodiversity loss globally, their spread threatens the survival of our native species, and can cause damage to our environment, economy, our health and the way we live.

Even common butterflies have lost out as hedges and field edges rich in wild flowers and grasses have gone under the plough. So what can we do to help?

The Wales Transport Strategy (WTS) is the Welsh Government's strategic plan for all forms of transport, from now until 2040. However, we are dismayed that it doesn't refer to the Red Route at all. If enough of us lobby for the Red Route to be considered by the WTS, there's a good chance that this damaging road scheme could be stopped.
