The Wales Transport Strategy (WTS) is the Welsh Government's strategic plan for all forms of transport, from now until 2040. However, we are dismayed that it doesn't refer to the Red Route at all. If enough of us lobby for the Red Route to be considered by the WTS, there's a good chance that this damaging road scheme could be stopped. The North Wales Wildlife Trust is continuing its on-going management of invasive non-native plant species within the Upper and Middle Dee catchment. This time we’re addressing the impact of the footpath network as a pathway of spread. By focusing on improving people’s experience of natural heritage through signs, audio guided walks, talks and INNS management; we aim to increase awareness of the heritage found within the SAC, have a positive impact on how people value it, and empower them to protect and enhance it.
