North Wales Wildlife Trust is celebrating 60 years (1963-2023) working for wildlife working together with our local supporters, members and partners to help protect wildlife across North Wales.

Support 'Swift Bricks in Wales' to protect declining swift populations. Backed by the Wildlife Trusts across Wales and RSPB Cymru, the campaign calls for legislation requiring Swift Bricks in all new buildings.

A pesticide known to kill bees has been authorised for farmers to use on sugar beet crops in England. The deadly neonicotinoid (or neonic), thiamethoxam, was banned EU-wide in 2018 because of the wide-spread harm it causes.

The Môn Gwyrdd youth forum, which began in 2016, is a group of young people aged between 11 and 24 who are passionate about learning about the environment and helping bring communities on Anglesey together to protect it.

Nature reserves alone are not enough to support precious wildlife across North Wales. To enable wildlife to thrive we need to create more space that is better managed and well connected, with opportunities for people to connect with nature. As well as delivering projects in the wider landscape we also undertake development control activities to help ensure that building developments do not significantly threaten biodiversity. We also advocate for government policies that support nature recovery, and undertake proactive species-focused work – locally and nationally.
