During this three hour session you will learn some basic plant identification (we will be discovering common edible wild plants and how to identify them confidently and learning to spot toxic look-alikes and forage safely), the historical and modern context of foraging and how to forage safely, ethically, lawfully and sustainably in the UK. We’ll also talk about the ecological skills useful to foragers and some of the basic ways in which you can use wild ingredients in your life.

No previous experience of foraging or sourcing your own wild food is necessary for this event.

Part of the Our Dee Estuary project, lead by our partners at Cheshire Wildlife Trust and the Wild Food People! The event organiser speaks conversational Welsh, please feel free to use Welsh or English during this event.
