About the event

Pine needle basketry is sure to be your new favourite project which you can add to your woodland foraging and craft skillset.

On the day you'll be learning some of the history behind weaving with pine needles as well as safe and sustainable foraging. The technique around using pine needles for this session will focus on a coiling technique to create a simple small basket, where you'll learn about the materials needed, how to identify pine needles, and where to find them.

If the weather is nice we may do the weaving outside so please bring suitable layers of warm clothing.
