About the event

Cyanotype is photographic process that was vital for documenting British plants during the 19th century. Anna Atkins, a botanical artist and collector was the first person to illustrate a book with photographic images, using light exposure and a simple chemical process to create detailed blueprints of specimens.

Learn more about this history and have a go yourself in this creative workshop. Why not explore our new exhibition while your here?

This is a free event. If you book a ticket but then decide not to come or are unable to come, please let us know via Eventbright. Our free events are often fully booked and it is important that we give an opportunity to as many people as possible to enjoy the event.

Part of our Garden Escapers project at North Wales Wildlife Trust which is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. It is being delivered by the Heritage Fund, on behalf of the Welsh Government.
