Wild wonders & tower tales: Family friendly guided walk
Event details
About the event
Set off from Rhyd y Foel on a lively family adventure to Lady Emily’s Tower, exploring one of North Wales’ hidden gems along the way. This 3.2km return walk is perfect for families with children aged 8 and over, featuring a gentle climb through mixed woodland that opens out onto rare and species-rich limestone grassland bursting with wildflowers.
Here, we’ll dive into bug hunts, tick off plants in our wildflower spotter checklist, and enjoy magical folklore that brings the landscape to life. For those that wish to head a little further, we'll be visiting Lady Emily’s Tower with its terrific views, we’ll then retrace our steps back to the village.
