Enfys Ecology is seeking a well-organised Project Scheduling Officer to coordinate Great Crested Newt (GCN) trapping operations across two major development sites. This role involves managing surveyor rotas, tracking site activity, and providing occasional on-site support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for ecologists looking for seasonal work in a well-organised field project with a clear conservation impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed surveyor schedules for both sites (including weekends).
  • Liaise with subcontractors and volunteers, arranging cover where needed.
  • Maintain daily site logs via SharePoint and ensure all records are up to date.
  • Coordinate supervision for vegetation clearance with ECoW staff.
  • Attend each site at least once per week to support trapping efforts and monitor site conditions.
  • Communicate any issues, risks, or weather impacts to the project team promptly

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience working in ecological fieldwork or survey scheduling preferred.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, and WhatsApp (for team coordination).
  • Familiarity with GCN survey protocols is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to occasionally attend early morning site visits
