Enjoy a day out and explore the amazing fungi found around the woods and hills of Moel Famau. We'll look out for the tiny forked prongs of candlesnuff fungus, the ball-shaped fruiting body of puffballs, the often brightly coloured waxcaps and more.

The terrain is generally flat with with gravel paths within the wooded area (which is about 1.1 miles on the shortest route). The route up the hill is also a gravel path. There are no styles or steps.

What to bring

Please bring suitable footwear for hiking, a packed lunch, and dress for the weather.
