Plants out of Place: A Talk and Walk at the Great Orme
Event details
About the event
Come along and learn about the amazing wildlife on the Great Orme. Discover the impact of invasive plant species on diverse landscapes, including limestone grassland habitats.
During the talk, you’ll delve into the world of Victorian era plant hunters and explore how new and exotic plants were introduced into the UK. You’ll then discover how some of these plants can cause problems when they escape from gardens, and find out what we can all do to help stop their spread and protect our wild spaces.
We’ll then embark on a guided walk with one of the Great Orme wardens, with stunning sea cliff views, to learn about the species impacting this important landscape.
