BRENIG OSPREY UPDATE 26/7/21

THE WEEKEND AT THE BRENIG OSPREY NEST SITE

It has been quite exciting watching LM6 and LJ2 at the Brenig nest site over the weekend. We saw LM6 arrive on the perch just before 10pm on Friday night (23rd) only to leave a short while later but she must have returned as she was on the perch at the very break of dawn on Saturday morning (24th) leaving around 5am.

Soon after LJ2 lands on the perch with a fish but we think he may have been on the lower nest next to the perch as the fish was covered in bedding from this nest. He left with the remains of his fish just after 8am only for LM6 to land on the perch with a fish 15minutes later. She didn’t stay long, flying off with her fish just minutes later.

LJ2 was on the perch that evening, and early Sunday morning (25th) both LM6 and LJ2 were on the perch together.
