Osprey update 14th May 2022

LM6 and LJ2 have been taking turns with incubation duties and all looks fine with the three eggs, with the fist chick looking likely to hatch around the start of June.

But the other evening on the 4th May, we had a very mysterious food delivery.

As if from nowhere, a fish fell out of the sky and in to the nest whilst both birds were on the nest. (video to follow) but can be seen here. https://www.facebook.com/brenigospreyproject

We were all perplexed, we had no idea how it happened, we scrolled all the camera angles we had for the reason and eventually we found it.

A third osprey was at Brenig!

For reasons we will never fully understand, this unidentified bird had decided to drop a gift to our breeding pair and what an aim they had. We still have not been able to identify this osprey yet, but rest assured if we see them again we will let you all know what they are up to.
