The Halkyn Mountain Partnership has been successful in securing funding through Welsh Government’s Sustainable Management Scheme to tackle and address a range of issues facing Halkyn Common such as; sustaining a resilient landscape; addressing the decline in grazing and biodiversity; and managing increasing pressures on its ecosystem.

The Halkyn Mountain Living Landscape Project Officer will be employed by North Wales Wildlife Trust and line managed by Flintshire County Council’s Access and Natural Environment Manager and will oversee the implementation and delivery of the Project.

The post is funded for the duration the Sustainable Management Scheme, which is an element of the Rural Development Programme 2018 – 2021.  It is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2021, with possible extension.

The post will be based at Flintshire Countryside Service Offices at Wepre Park, Connah’s Quay.
