About the event

This is a chance to join our Shoresearch volunteers and learn about our intertidal surveys to see if it's right for you. We're out every month in three hub areas documenting what we see on shore to build a vital baseline and help to record changes.

Open to people of all levels (16+ only) - we'll provide all the training you need! Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather and kneeling on a wet shore area. Boots or wellies are the most suitable footwear.

The event organiser speaks Welsh, please feel free to use Welsh or English during this event.

Mobility

The shore is pebbly and very rocky with algae-covered rocks and rockpools in the survey area. Access to the shore is down steps and across pebbles to a slippery rocky shore area.

There are toilets close to shore in the large carpark at the back of the main beach, close to the survey area.

Public transport is limited from Nefyn, Porthmadog and Pwllheli. Please check https://www.traveline.cymru/

What to bring

Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather and kneeling on a wet shore area, boots or wellies are the most suitable footwear.
