Dr Steve Head will introduce you to the biodiversity in gardens and some of the reasons why they have so many species. He will describe the problems for this biodiversity, and demolish, in an entertaining way, some of the myths about garden ecology still widespread in the media.

About the event

Steve is an ecologist and invertebrate zoologist who has worked and taught at universities in the UK, Jamaica and Oman, as well as running large conservation charities. He is a founder member and Chair of the Trustees of the Wildlife Gardening Forum (www.wlgf.org) which seeks to make everyone, including planners and government, aware of the astonishing biodiversity and importance of gardens for people as well as wildlife.
