About the event

Lichens and liverworts are epiphytes, growing on tree bark without causing harm to the tree. They grow well and in great variety in our mild, damp climate typical of the Atlantic Rain Forest. We will be taking a close look at these organisms using hand lenses which will reveal a beautiful microscopic world that you may have overlooked. After a short walk we will go back to the 'lab' to examine our finds in detail under a microscope. Tea, coffee, water and gluten-free cake provided.
