Learning and Discovery

Encouraging everyone to 'live more lightly' on the earth

The North Wales Wildlife Trust offers you local opportunities to learn more about the wildlife around you.
Families are welcome to join us on a wide range of wildlife walks throughout the year. Take a look at our events pages to find out what's going on near you.

Wildlife Watch
is the club for all animal fans, nature sleuths and young environmentalists. Wildlife Watch is an exciting way to explore your surroundings and get closer to the wildlife you share it with.

We are working directly with schools to provide opportunities for children to get out onto our nature reserves. These natural classrooms provide numerous opportunities for fulfilling the requirements of the National Curriculum.

The Information for Teachers and Suggestion Grid for Studies and Activities are aimed at Keystage 2 of the National Curriculum.
Although they provide detailed information for on a specific reserve, the information is broadly applicable to any site with a similar habitat. They present sufficient information to allow teachers to visit the reserve and provide several cross-curriculum activities for the children. It includes information on the best time to visit and what you can expect to see and is presented in English and Welsh.
