Learn new skills, get fit, meet new people and have fun!

There are many ways to get involved and enjoy learning new skills, whether it’s making a difference on our nature reserves or within your community!

Volunteers can get involved in a wide range of activities, including practical work on nature reserves as well as helping with publicity, writing articles and helping to run events.

Volunteering with the Green Horizons Project is an excellent way of gaining experience for those seeking a career in wildlife and countryside management. We can also offer opportunities for young people working on school projects, scout and guide badges or Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

At Marford Quarry volunteers have been very busy laying hedges, creating butterfly glades, making nest boxes, keeping paths clear, installing wildlife-friendly interpretation points and taking photographs of the site’s wildlife. Volunteers have also helped deliver community activities such as helping with wildlife surveys of churchyards in Wrexham and community events in Caia Parc Estate.

These are just some of the opportunities we offer.
To find out more about what we do and the skills you can learn please get in touch or fill in our online registration form. Don’t forget to express an interest in the Green Horizons Project in Part 2 of the form!
