In 2022, China will host the Conference of Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Montreal – also known as COP15. COP15 will be a crucial moment in the global fight to reverse the worldwide decline in biodiversity. It’s also an important moment in efforts to tackle the climate crisis and make the case for nature-based solutions to climate change.

The Wales Transport Strategy (WTS) is the Welsh Government's strategic plan for all forms of transport, from now until 2040. However, we are dismayed that it doesn't refer to the Red Route at all. If enough of us lobby for the Red Route to be considered by the WTS, there's a good chance that this damaging road scheme could be stopped. Nature reserves alone are not enough to support precious wildlife across North Wales. To enable wildlife to thrive we need to create more space that is better managed and well connected, with opportunities for people to connect with nature. As well as delivering projects in the wider landscape we also undertake development control activities to help ensure that building developments do not significantly threaten biodiversity. We also advocate for government policies that support nature recovery, and undertake proactive species-focused work – locally and nationally.
