Beached! is a project which aims to map the species washed up on our beaches, especially the occasional mass accumulations of dead or dying sea life on our beach strandlines.

Nature reserves alone are not enough to support precious wildlife across North Wales. To enable wildlife to thrive we need to create more space that is better managed and well connected, with opportunities for people to connect with nature. As well as delivering projects in the wider landscape we also undertake development control activities to help ensure that building developments do not significantly threaten biodiversity. We also advocate for government policies that support nature recovery, and undertake proactive species-focused work – locally and nationally.

The Wilder Bangor project is about making nature more accessible, inclusive and relevant, recognising that everyone should feel able to enjoy and benefit from Bangor’s green and blue spaces.

Ash dieback has spread rapidly through the Welsh countryside and has now affected all of North Wales Wildlife Trust's nature reserves with ash trees present.

Nature in North Wales is in recovery, with abundant, diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder land and seascapes where people and nature thrive
