Minera Quarry Grand Opening - with Mike Dilger, wildlife TV presenter!

Please come and join us to celebrate the opening of our 36th nature reserve.

Mike Dilger, wildlife TV presenter, will be officially opening the site at 1:30pm. There will be lots of wild things to see and do all throughout the day!  

• A Bio-Blitz – wildlife enthusiasts will be at hand to find as many different species on the day
• Moth trapping
• Guided walks
• A Talks Tent - Bats of Minera, mindfulness and nature, living landscapes, volunteering, swift recovery project
• Children’s activities
• Open Air Laboratory and pond dipping with Mike Dilger
• Geological discovery – find a sea bed created 440 million years ago
• Stalls from local community groups - Minera Quarry Trust, Friends of Nant Mill & AONB 

There will be tea, coffee, cake and ice cream – so fingers crossed for a sunny day!
