Explore Cemlyn!

Cemlyn is one of the iconic coastal locations on Anglesey. It is an internationally important seabird site with Wales' single most important sandwich tern colony and also has opportunities to see lots of other wildlife both on the shore and in the coastal waters of North Anglesey. This evening walk will provide the opportunity to learn about the life of the seabird colony as they return to roost for the evening and explore coastal habitats along with the chance of seeing seals and other coastal creatures! 2miles, 2hrs Moderate-Difficult terrain. Meet at Bryn Aber car park.

North Wales Wildlife Trust is joing forces with the Welsh Mountain Zoo which is also celebratig its 50th year, for a fun-filled evening of festivity! We will also be putting on various family nature detective activities, from bug hunting to bush craft and the Zoo will be provideing its own brand of exotic wildlife activities! So please come along and join in the fun!

Join us for a rockpooling extravaganza in one of the best places in North Wales to find some of the weird and wonderful creatures that live along our seashores. Meet at the Beach Road car park at Llanddulas at 5:30pm or join us on the beach anytime between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Your feet are likely to get wet so please wear suitable footwear.

Celebrating our Traditional Haymeadows

Our Traditional Haymeadows are disappearing fast. There will be presentations adn information available in the mroning about traditional haymeadow managements and why these habitats are so important with tea and cakes! In the afternoon there will be an opportunity to visit and help survey NWWT and Plantilife's fantastic reserve at Caeau Tan-y-Bwlch to count the greater butterfly orchids in the company of Dr Trevor Dines who recently starred on Channel 4's series 'Wild Things'.
